With iPROT, not only meeting content in the form of meeting minutes but also inspections can be documented. An inspection is necessary, for example, on a construction site for the acceptance of construction work or to determine the progress of work and any defects. Or within the scope of facility management for the annual inspection of the fire alarm system in a building.
During the inspection, Inspection Minutes can be created virtually live on a tablet computer with iPROT. To do this, simply create the corresponding meeting type and then create the meeting minutes in your project for, for example, an inspection to determine defects and remaining services.

If you record the meeting minutes directly on a tablet computer during the inspection, you have the opportunity to document identified defects or missing services with a photo on-site for illustration. This photo can then be attached directly to the respective entry.

iPROT uses the camera function integrated into the tablet computer’s operating system and makes this option available as soon as you click on the “Local file(s)…” link when creating an entry. The photo thus created can then be attached directly to the respective entry without detours. Of course, several photos can also be created and added to an entry in this way.
After the inspection is completed, the Inspection Minutes can be sent quickly and easily to the predefined mailing list using the integrated sending function in iPROT. Alternatively, only the PDF version of the Inspection Minutes can be downloaded via the corresponding menu command.

Thanks to the continuous minutes method integrated into iPROT, no outstanding tasks, which are necessary for example for the rectification of defects or outstanding remaining services, are lost. And with iPROT’s addendum function, the status can also be documented during a second inspection.
The application possibilities of iPROT are diverse and go far beyond merely documenting meeting content. Of course, the ideas for minutes presented here are not exhaustive, and therefore, we will gladly present further possibilities for project documentation with iPROT at an appropriate opportunity, thereby continuing and supplementing this blog series.
