Create Project Status Report – Manage Project Handbook Digitally

iPROT can be used in a wide range of ways. The focus is on documenting entire projects. In addition to meeting minutes for project meetings, steering committee meetings, or customer meetings, iPROT can also be used to document other project content such as invoice approvals, project status, awards, and verifications. That is reason enough for us to take a closer look at these ideas for minutes in a blog series. Following the parts published so far, Drawing distribution with iPROT and Invoice verification & approval with iPROT, we are continuing the series with documenting the project status in the form of a project manual:

Since version 3.5, project status reports can be created in iPROT in the form of project manuals. A dedicated print template is stored for this purpose; it differs slightly and has been optimised for a project manual.

To create a project manual, you can create your own meeting type in iPROT with the name “Project manual” via the corresponding menu command. As soon as you create a new project manual as meeting minutes within this meeting type, iPROT automatically recognises that it is a project manual and uses the corresponding print template. You can structure your project manual with topics according to the respective project requirements and divide them into chapters. Naturally, you can then also document the current project status in this project manual, e.g. regarding costs, deadlines, as well as quality and quantities.

Using the distribution function integrated in iPROT, the project manual can then be sent quickly and easily to the previously defined mailing list. Alternatively, only the PDF version of the project manual can be downloaded via the corresponding menu command.

The possible applications of iPROT are diverse and go far beyond merely recording meeting content. Of course, the ideas for minutes presented here are not exhaustive, and therefore we will be presenting further options for project documentation with iPROT in the coming weeks. So: to be continued 😉
