iPROT offers diverse applications, with a primary focus on documenting entire projects. In addition to meeting minutes for project meetings, steering committee meetings, or client discussions, iPROT can also document other project content such as invoice approvals, project status, awards, and inspections. This provides ample reason for us to take a closer look at these ideas for minutes in a blog series. The article Drawing Distribution with iPROT, published some time ago, will retrospectively become the first part of our series. The documentation of invoice verifications and invoice approvals will kick off four more ideas for minutes that we will present here on the blog over the next few weeks:
Every project involves invoices, and typically a predefined workflow for invoice verification and approval. To document the transfer of verified and approved invoices from one stage to the next within this workflow, iPROT can be used to create invoice verification & approval meeting minutes.

These invoice verification & approval meeting minutes are best grouped under their own meeting type. Each verification and approval then receives its own meeting minutes. Of course, multiple invoices can also be summarized in such verification and approval meeting minutes. For this, a separate topic is created for each invoice within the respective meeting minutes.
It is important that these invoice topics are not created as consecutive but as one-off topics. In this way, you can ensure that an invoice release does not inadvertently reappear as an unfinished entry in the next invoice verification and release log using the endless log method. In the iPROT settings under the Entry types menu item, you can also create and configure the “Release” entry type for this purpose.
The possible applications of iPROT are diverse and go far beyond merely recording meeting content. Of course, the ideas for minutes presented here are not exhaustive, and therefore we will be presenting further options for project documentation with iPROT in the coming weeks. So: to be continued 😉
