As of today, the new iPROT version 4.1 is online and includes new features! The most important new feature is the ability to switch to English-language projects. We have also redesigned the menu to better distinguish between system settings and project settings. In addition, we have applied the new version 4.0 design to all settings dialogs and have not only improved but completely overhauled the settings dialog for PDF Design & Distribution. And as always, we have been working under the hood to fix a few minor bugs.
English projects
As of version 4.1, projects can be created in either German or English. The language is specified when creating a new project. When switching to an English project, the entire iPROT user interface also switches to English. All control elements, distribution emails, and the generated PDF files are then available in English.
Improved menu
In the menu, which can be accessed via the hamburger button at the top right, we now distinguish more clearly between system settings and project settings.
Project settings are—as the name suggests—possible at the project level, meaning they can deviate from or supplement the system settings. System settings, on the other hand, affect the entire iPROT account, including all projects for which no individual project settings exist.
New settings dialog for PDF Design & Distribution
We have fundamentally overhauled the settings for PDF Design & Distribution. The dialog is now not only clearer, but we have also reorganized the content and grouped related settings into four categories: meeting minutes design, email & distribution, disclaimers, and logo.
The settings are possible both at the system level (only for users with administrative rights) and individually for each project.
Settings defined at the system level apply to all (new) projects; individual changes such as a company logo, a different distribution email address, etc., are possible at the project level.
Finally, a tip: If you experience display issues with the new version 4.1, or if controls and buttons are missing, simply reload iPROT in your browser while holding down the Shift key.
