GDPR & iPROT – Data Protection and Privacy Policy

The protection of data was and continues to be a very high priority in connection with iPROT and our associated online services. Laws, regulations, and standards do not change this. We have always processed our customers’ data exclusively on the basis of legal requirements. Therefore, the GDPR does not bring any changes for iPROT users at first glance as of May 25, 2018. However, quite a bit has happened behind the scenes. You may have already noticed that for the past few days, the latest version 3.2.7 of iPROT displays a notice on the login screen about our new privacy policy.

This privacy policy informs you about the type, scope, and purpose of the processing of personal data within our online services and the associated websites, functions, and content, as well as external online presences, such as our social media profiles, as required by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

By continuing to use iPROT, you accept this privacy policy. If you do not wish to do so, please contact us directly at datenschutz (at) iprot (dot) info. New users also agree to our privacy policy when ordering an iPROT account or an iPROT demo access.

We have introduced one more small feature in compliance with the GDPR: a notice at the end of the emails generated when sending meeting minutes with iPROT. This notice informs the recipients of our customers’ meeting minutes about why and from where they received the minutes and how they can unsubscribe if necessary.

For this purpose and for all other inquiries regarding data protection in accordance with the GDPR, we have set up a dedicated email address: datenschutz (at) iprot (dot) info. If you have questions, requests, suggestions, or complaints regarding data protection, simply send an email to this address and we will be happy to take care of it personally.
