Before you start working with iPROT, you will likely want to adjust some basic settings. Here is a brief overview:
- Using the Projects menu item, you set up new projects. You only need to enter a project name and a short code (you can also use a project number instead of a short code). Depending on the iPROT version, the number of active projects may be limited.
- The Users & People menu item takes you to the user database with the data of all iPROT users and all persons to whom iPROT is to be used to send meeting minutes. When you use iPROT for the first time, there is usually only one person with administrator rights. The administrator must now create the employees of their company who are allowed to edit meeting minutes and assign them the appropriate rights (see chapter Users & people).
- Using the Meeting Types menu item, you specify the names of your meeting types. Some meeting types are already predefined. You are of course free to rename or delete these. However, you need at least one meeting type. The short codes of meeting types are used to identify topics within a set of minutes and cannot be changed after they have been set!
- Using the Chapters menu item, you define chapters for structuring your minutes. For further details on the full range of iPROT settings, see the chapter Settings.
