Incomplete (Overdue) Tasks

A key parameter in project management is the number of tasks that still need to be completed. The iPROT interface displays this information for the selected project, its sets of minutes, and their topics.

Overdue tasks are tasks that have not been completed within the agreed deadline. Such overdue tasks are automatically flagged by iPROT. The deadline date is displayed in red, and the number of days, weeks, or months by which the task is overdue is shown alongside it.

In the PDF version of the minutes, the number of days, weeks, or months by which a task is overdue is also shown below the deadline date.

The overdue status of a task is not calculated relative to the current date, but always relative to the date of the respective set of minutes. If a task entry is still on schedule as of the date of a set of minutes and therefore not yet overdue, it will not be marked as overdue either in iPROT or in the PDF.

Each set of minutes refers to the date of the respective meeting or site inspection. So if you are writing a new set of minutes today and a task entry that was due the day before yesterday has not yet been completed, iPROT will flag the expired deadline and mark the entry as overdue both in the interface and in the PDF. If, however, a task entry was still on schedule as of the date of the meeting or site inspection – and therefore as of the date of the set of minutes – it will not be marked as overdue.
