Task management is one of the core functions in any set of minutes, and therefore also in iPROT. Person-specific task lists can be generated using the search function and distributed as PDF files. In addition, iPROT provides an export function that allows you to export your own incomplete tasks and appointments across all projects and sets of minutes – either in Markdown format or iCal format. The latter can be imported as calendar events into Microsoft Outlook or Apple Calendar, for example. Both formats include a link to the relevant topic in the minutes, so you can quickly navigate to a more detailed description of the task in iPROT.
NOTE
A prerequisite for exporting tasks is an active iPROT account with admin or write permissions. The export function then generates a list of all incomplete tasks across all projects and sets of minutes that are assigned to the person currently logged in to iPROT.
The export works exclusively for the currently logged-in user and is one-directional – data is exported out of iPROT and can then optionally be imported into another application. If you subsequently move or delete an exported appointment in Microsoft Outlook or Apple Calendar, for example, this has no effect on the data in your iPROT account.
When exporting to Markdown format, each task is exported in the typical Markdown syntax:

Each task and appointment is linked directly to the corresponding topic or entry in iPROT, and includes a reference to the project, the topic number within the respective set of minutes, and the deadline. A task might then be displayed as follows:

In general, all entry types for which both a due date in the Completed by column and an accountable person in the Responsible column are set in the iPROT settings – as shown in the figure below – can be exported to iCal or Markdown format as calendar events using this function.
