Initial settings

Before you start working with iPROT, you will probably want to change some basic settings. Here is a brief overview:

  • Use the Projects menu item to set up new projects. All you have to do is enter the project name and an abbreviation (you can also enter a project number instead of the abbreviation). Depending on the iPROT version, the number of active projects is limited.
  • The Users menu item takes you to the user database with the data of all iPROT users and all persons to whom meeting minutes are to be sent with iPROT.When you use iPROT for the first time, there is usually only one person with administrator rights. The administrator must now create the employees in their company who are allowed to edit the minutes and assign them the appropriate rights (see the Users & people section).
  • Use the menu item Protocol types to specify the names of your protocol types. Some protocol types are already predefined. You are of course free to rename these log types or delete them completely. However, you need at least one protocol type. The abbreviations of protocol types are used to designate the topics in a protocol and cannot be changed later!
  • Use the Chapters menu item to define chapters for structuring the log. Further details on iPROT’s extensive setting options can be found in the chapter Setting options.
